Cost Accountant / Controller

Job description / Role

• Supports Commercial Manager in establishing and maintaining proper cost accounting system
• Advises and supervises accounting department in allocating profit and loss related postings to the correct cost centers
• Calculates and prepares internal allocations amongst the different departments
• Acts as an interface between site management and accounting
• Supports the different department heads and site managers in analyzing their profit center results
• Recommends corrective actions to management
• Prepares regular reports for management and head office in close cooperation with Commercial Manager
• Supports Commercial Manager in financial budgeting and forecasting process
• Provides Tender Department with necessary information to keep offered prices up-to-date
• Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential
• Provides ad-hoc information and support in any cost accounting related matters to management

Requirements

• Degree in Finance and Accounting / Controlling
• At least three years of experience in an international environment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Excellent English skills and communicative abilities
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting in an international group
• Excellent computer skills especially in MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience in SAP Business One (B1) or similar ERP-systems
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to work under pressure and keep deadlines
• Able to exhibit high level of confidentiality
• Team player
