Employment: Full Time

The Client:
Our client is a large American MNC from the manufacturing industry. Their products are used by companies in the O&G/Engineering/F&B/Mining/Pharmaceutical/Energy industries to name a few. Due to exceptional growth in the region, they are looking for a "Credit Control, Cashier, Business Analyst and Internal Trading Banking Specialist" to join their team.

The Role:
The Credit Controller is responsible for managing the debts of a business. The day-to-day duties of the Credit Controller are varied and include managing the debts of creditors, ensuring timely payments are made, processing incoming funds, reconciling invoices, resolving account queries and managing debt recovery.

The Candidate:

* Must be based in the UAE already
* Must have industry experience from manufacturing service businesses
* Must have Credit Control as well as Business Analysis and Banking experience (it is a varied role, and not purely credit control)
* Very good communication skills in English, verbal and written

Main duties:
Sales Ledger:

* Ensure all data is provided for new accounts and perform a Credit check and Visual Compliance check on the websites before setting-up all new accounts
* Credit check all accounts 6 monthly and any that are old and those that want to change their credit limits.
* Collect Debt on time by means of sending statements, liaising with customers on the phone and email, sending out dunning letters and if necessary, liaising with and submitting necessary paperwork to Debt collection agency/Atradius.
* Compile a full annotated Debtors Report each month, present for Debtors meeting once a month.
* Month End: Check the Sales Ledger balance is equal the Debtor account balances on the Nominal Ledger then write up the reconciliation to find the true Debtor amount, by: Extracting all the Inter Company accounts and Credit balances, take account of any late receipts, work with Purchase Ledger controller to add any debit balances held on Creditors and submit to Accountant before 12:00 on day 1 of close.

Banking:

* Set-up and keep the Banking templates up to date with any new or changes to Bank details.
* Raise ad-hoc payment requests and obtain authorisation to pay.
* Post all payments on the Bank through the Banks website, either individually or by Bacs upload and making sure all payments are posted onto the Ledgers through the Cashbook module, correctly accounting for any exchange rate or Bank charges.
* Reconcile the Bank accounts and the loan account each day to spreadsheet and Nominal Ledger.
* Month end: Reconcile the Bank and loan accounts to their relative statements and submit to the Accountant before 12:00 on day 1 of close.

Analysis:

* The business analyst definition is someone who investigates an issue within a business. They then identify and analyse areas for improvement and define the requirements of a solution.
* Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking
* Analyse financial data and create financial models for decision support
* Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews
* Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
* Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
* Guide cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures
* Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization
* Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials
* Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards
* Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools
* Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps
* Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is mentioned in virtually any financial analyst job description; familiarity with data query/data management tools is extremely helpful (Access, SQL, Business Objects)
* Use data modelling practices to analyse your findings and create suggestions for strategic and operational improvements and changes

Requirements

The Person:

* Will have experience in a similar Credit Control / Sales Ledger role
* Experience within a similar industry is beneficial
* Must have strong attention to detail and have a proactive approach to work
* Strong Excel skills are preferable
