Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Credit Risk Analyst - 6 months contract

The primary responsibility of the contractor is to help Credit Settlement Risk team to run the new risk monitoring system with the aim of controlling authorization volumes against limits defined. The successful candidate will have strong analytical as well as Excel/Word skills. Also, the contractor will be requested to review client’s annual reports to confirm or update the existing ratings.

Specifically he/she will be:
• Conducting financial analysis of commercial banks
• Assigning credit rating to principal clients
• Verifying list of relevant clients and their collateral levels
• Calculating limits as per formula and level of collateral held
• Analyzing large set of data to understand trends/peaks
• Filling out the two sets of forms for upload to create settlement IDs for the clients
• Entering client details, email content, contacts and limits into the online system
• Liaising with colleagues in the Business Development and elsewhere to answer queries etc.
• Maintaining a log of clients and limits input into the system
• Checking the accuracy of limits for clients already in the system and amending where necessary
• Monitoring alert emails as they come through and following up where necessary
• Preparing management and ad hoc reports
• Collecting audited financials from the clients and channeling them to external vendor.

Salary:
AED 15,000 to 25,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, finance, accounting, or related field.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, team player, approachable, professionally mature, relationship management skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to synthesize information and make clear, concise conclusions.
• Heightened analytical and problem solving skills.
• Self-motivated and organized, able to handle multiple tasks while focusing on results.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Experience and expertise in credit risk management is not essential, but would be an advantage.
