As the Cruise Manager , you are required to plan, direct and manage all aspects of Gulf Ventures day-to-day cruise operations in the UAE, ensuring the highest levels of service delivery and safety for all cruise clients, in order to maintain and enhance the company's image and reputation as a leading DMC in the Gulf region.

In this role you will:

- Oversee the daily operations of the Cruise Team to ensure exceptional service and safety standards are met for both customers and staff. This involves coordinating schedules, managing resources, and addressing any operational issues that may arise.
- Work closely with the Emirates Group Safety Department to implement and enforce safety systems and procedures. Regular monitoring and compliance checks are essential to minimize risks and maintain a high level of safety for clients and staff.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to continuously review and streamline business processes, systems, and procedures. The goal is to enhance productivity, improve performance, and provide efficient management information for decision-making purposes.
- Identify opportunities for new and innovative products that can enhance Arabian Adventures' offerings. This involves staying updated on market trends, analysing competitor activities, and consulting with other units within the company to ensure AA maintains its competitive edge.
- Manage the recruitment process for the Cruise Team, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new staff members. Additionally, oversee the regular training and development initiatives to maintain high service standards and staff morale.
- Develop and manage the annual budget for the Cruise Team, ensuring that operational expenses are controlled and within budgetary constraints. This includes monitoring and approving all day-to-day operational costs, such as payments to suppliers and freelancers.
- Maintain a database of freelance drivers and guides, ensuring their availability and qualifications meet the needs of the operation. This involves implementing appropriate training procedures, updating standard operating procedures (SOPs), and managing day-to-day assignments.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to facilitate contracting, negotiate agreements, and resolve any issues promptly. This will involve liaising with day-to-day contacts, including Civil Aviation Authorities, Police departments, Immigration, Port Agents, all UAE Tourism establishments, Museums, etc to ensure smooth operations.
- Coordinate with other internal departments, such as dnata Airport and visa services, to ensure seamless execution of services like shore excursions, meet and greet services, and turnaround services. Effective communication and collaboration are essential for successful outcomes.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience
To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:

- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)
- Hospitality. Tour / Field Guides : 8+ Years
- Experience in the service and tourism field.
- Experience managing a large operational team.
- Experience of working within a multinational / multicultural environment.

You'll have an edge if you have:

- In-depth first-hand knowledge of the functions of a Destination Management Company (DMC)'s operations unit.
- Ability to deliver results Ability to lead a team and be able to work with others in a team.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of tours and safari's market in UAE.
- Previous Cruise Operations experience a necessity.
