Description
The key responsibility for the Data Engineer is on building and maintaining optimized and highly available data pipelines that facilitate deeper analysis and reporting by the Data Scientist. You will build and define data process frameworks that handle the business's growing database by designing, building and integrating data from various resources, including big data
* Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
* Bring together large, complex data sets
* Ability to work with both structured and unstructured data
* Identify, design and implement internal process improvements
* Lead master data cleansing and improvement efforts
* Build analytic tools that utilise the data pipeline and provide actionable insights
* Enhance data collection procedures to include information relevant for building analytic systems
* Pioneer OT and edge analytical capabilities on remote oil feed assets

Requirements
* University degree (Masters preferred) in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
* 5+ years practical experience with ETL Tools, Data Warehouses and Data Lakes
* Experience working with Big Data, database programming (NoSQL databases)
* Extensive background in Data Mining and statistical analysis
* Strong focus on delivering outcomes
* Experience in various databases including Azure SQL DB, Oracle, MySQL
* Hands on experience with programming languages: SCALA, HIVE, Python, R
* Experience with Azure product offerings and Data Platform
* Professional experience working in an Agile environment with multiple priorities
* Arabic native language and excellent spoken and written English
* Ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders and business analysts
