SENIOR MANAGER DATA GOVERNANCE & ARCHITECTURE
DESCRIPTION
- Deliver professional business analysis and technical services to design and deliver data governance standards for Data Integration team (DIT)
- Deliver and setup of new Enterprise Data Catalogue, and AXON model for DIT team
- Setup of Enterprise Data Governance model with internal and business stakeholders
- Provide technical expertise to deliver business and technical modelling for Enterprise Data Catalogue setup and framework
- Understanding of Data Integration and Application Integration approaches, including Master Data and Enterprise Data Warehouse architecture
- Review existing Data structures, architecture and API documentation, to assess suitability, re-use and gaps
- Manage a team of Data Governance Consultants and Analysts
- Ability to manage a variety of tasks concurrently and show flexibility in order to meet delivery timeframes
- Ability to identify process improvements and new techniques to improve team effectiveness
Deliverables
- Setup of Data Governance Function and team within DIT
- Performance review management for small team of Consultants
- Produce appropriate documentation set to support setup of Data Governance function for DIT team including Data Governance framework
- Setup and delivery of Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog and AXON tools
- Configuration and maintenance of Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog and AXON tools
- Deliver documentation to support setup of Enterprise Data Catalog and AXON tools
- Deliver necessary reporting from Enterprise Data Catalog and AXON to business and technical stakeholders
Requirements
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- 10 years plus experience in leading data governance teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment
- Ability to facilitate effective discussion, decision making and conflict resolution
- Experience working effectively in globally distributed delivery teams
- Experience of applying analysis techniques in a successful technology team delivering enhancements to data warehouses
- Knowledge of relational databases, ETL tools, data conversion, data cleansing methods
- A good understanding of Integration Layers and Middleware
- Experience of working in tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA but also spreadsheets as required
- Understanding of Data life cycles, Lineage and Data Governance
- Mapping of data relevant to integrations and transformations
- Experience of a variety of Data dictionaries and Data Catalogues
