Job Description & Summary

Manage and control day-to-day operational activities to ensure delivery of quality services;
Drive the successful implementation of key initiatives and projects and share best practices;
Monitor compliance over all Data related activities across the ME region in accordance with the Network standards and all local data related legislations in applicable jurisdictions across the ME;
Introduce best practices and rules to maintain high standards under all data risk pillars;
Set appropriate controls as necessary and appropriate to timely detect data related activities throughout data management lifecycle;
Development and continuous improvement of internal policies and procedures, including evolved regulatory requirements and / or Network standards;
Maintain inventories / repositories for all data related activity, including incidents;
Maintain up-to-date regulatory matrices for all data related legislations;
Review risks and controls to ensure relevant safeguards are being addressed and implemented for new products, applications;
Collaborate and work with all core functions within the firm and provide guidance on all data pillars' activities;
Support business and other IFS function to achieve their objectives and build strong and effective relationships with key stakeholders and leadership;

The candidate will be achievement oriented with the ability to be flexible and adaptive on a daily basis.
They will be able to work independently and as part of a team with high energy and at a fast pace that will translate into a high quality output.
Mandatory requirements:
8 - 12 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Risk Management, particularly legal risk and / or operational risk.

Thorough understanding of legislation with solid capabilities to read and interpret law provisions.
Demonstrate strong skills in identifying law provisions that must be transformed into controls and measures within practice.
Strong risk / control analytical skills
Demonstrate ability to achieve a trade-off balance approach
Thorough understanding of control-risk framework
Experience in building risk models and methodologies to maintain visibility on data risk environment
Additional requirements:
Demonstrate ability to build relationships, work across multinational teams and with a wide variety of individuals at different levels - from senior partners to staff
Strong interest and passion for PwC and looking to further develop him/herself and his/her PwC network
Excellent organisational skills, having the ability to prioritise workload whilst being resilient and being able to cope well under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
Fluent in English but multilingual Arabic speaker preferable
Driven with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Personal gravitas and ethical behaviour
