Job description / Role
You will be part of the team of experts in primary market research, advanced analytics and data science and will be working with strategy consultants to provide high quality results for their clients. You will also work to advance the organization’s analytic and research capabilities and provide training to the consulting staff as needed.
This role requires someone who can communicate effectively, discuss technical issues to non-technical audience.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare various sources of data using data wrangling methods in R, Python, SQL in infrastructure including AWS, Spark, Hadoop and relational database environments
• Design machine learning algorithms and techniques like SVM, Random Forests, linear regression, time series analysis, decision trees, survival analysis, ensemble learning, clustering, Bayesian methods
Requirements
• Extensive experience with SQL and either R or Python.
• Experience in wrangling with large databases (Terabytes) of structured and unstructured data (pictures, text, audio)
• Experience in machine learning algorithms and techniques like SVM, Random Forests, linear regression, ensemble learning, clustering
• Experience in applying advanced analytics and data science skills to answers business problems in the space of retail basket analysis, churn and fraud modelling, life time value calculations, root cause analysis, pricing optimizations, retail footprint optimization
• Desirable skills: Bayesian modelling, GLM modelling, Survival analysis, Time series forecasting. Familiarity with NoSQL data stores is a plus. Familiarity with analyzing survey data. Text analytics with NLP
