Data Scientist - Dubai

- Identify, analyze, interpret trends and discover hidden patterns in complex structured and unstructured data sets.
- Develop digital media audience’s segmentation and usage behavior clusters to support commercial, marketing, editorial, product and content decision making.
- Support digital and TV teams with root cause, multivariate, conjoint analysis, propensity to churn, propensity to buy and lifetime value modelling using Big data tools.
- Detect changes in customer behavior, and make data-led recommendations to improve existing products, services and applications.
- Develop cohort analysis to undertake product and consumer usage evaluation in particular to support native app versioning.
- Develop algorithms to enable look–a-like modelling and audience profiling.
- Support and champion metrics creation covering customer and content performance.
- Make recommendations for data harmonization and customer centricity (ie. Single sign on, unique customer ID).
- Manipulate and transform data to optimize analysis and verify data for accuracy and completeness.
- Work with business and data management teams to translate data requirements into functional specifications.
- Develop an acute understanding of product, marketing and business needs through constant engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with Technology team to develop databases and implement Big data analytics roadmap.
- Work with data governance team to help drive consistency in MDM and data definitions to create a trusted source of data.
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.

Requirements

- BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in solving business problems through data driven quantitative methodologies as Senior advanced data analyst or data scientist. Preferably in a Digital media industry.
- Solid experience with digital measurement and analytics platforms (i.e. Google, adobe)
- Experience in creating econometric descriptive and predictive models in Digital space (unstructured data).
- Adapt to queries, report writing and presenting findings
- Strong quantitative analytics skills specifically classification trees, cluster analysis, and regression.
- Significant experience in a similar role and industry
- Experience with Amazon Web Services Big data platform is a plus
- Strong knowledge and experience using Big Data analytics tools and languages (ie. R, Python, SPARK, Lambda).
