Job description / Role
Our client, a leading US based IT company based in Dubai has a fantastic job opportunity for a Data Scientist for a 6 to 12 month extendable contract. The candidate must have ITS knowledge, hands on technology experience and great communication skills for C-level discussions. Candidate with a transport industry background is preferred.
Requirements
The Data Scientist must have the following skills:
- 10 years of experience in the field of Data Science
- Master's in Data Science/Statistics/Computer Science/Mathematics or any similar field
- Experience with common data science toolkits - R, Python, MatLab, Weka, NumPy.
- Understanding of machine learning techniques - k-NN, SVM, Naive Bayes, Decision Forests
- Experience with data visualization tools
- Experience with Hadoop and BigData management technologies
- Experience in designing and developing BigData Models
- Developing and maintaning the models on Data Lake, Group BigData Cloud
- Developing and delivering rapid software prototypes preferably using Python
- Designing and developing methods to consolidate, analyze and handle large scale data
- Writing and delivering production quality code across enterprise
- Identify questions and issues for data analysis
- Identify meaningful insight from large data
- Develop market "mash-up" by combining internal corporate data and applications with externally sourced data
- Identify and recommend analytic tools
The candidate must be an exceptional listener and communicator to have a C-level discussion.
