Gems Founders Dubai are looking for you to join our vibrant school community as the deputy Head of Mathematics and embark on an exciting journey of inspiring creative, mindful learners!

Key Purpose:

Deputize for the Head of Maths, managing and ensuring the quality of the school's maths curriculum to fulfill the school's vision of inspiring creative, mindful learners.

Responsibilities:

- Articulate a vision for the Maths Department aligned with the school's ethos.
- Lead, manage, and evaluate the school's maths curriculum.
- Contribute to planning, resource management, and policy development.
- Uphold high expectations and standards across all aspects of school life.
- Support day-to-day school organization and management.
- Be accountable to the Teaching and Learning Coach and Principal/CEO.
- Contribute to the school's Performance Management program.

Role Aspects:

- Student Development: Ensure a positive learning environment and student well-being.
- Teaching and Learning Leadership: Strategically manage curriculum delivery and evaluation.
- Team Management: Support professional growth and effectiveness of maths department staff.
- Resource Management: Oversee effective allocation and use of resources.
- Promotion and Representation: Advocate for the maths department within the school and community.

Requirements

Qualifications:

- Experience in maths education and leadership.
- relevant teaching degree and 3+ years of experience
- Knowledge of curriculum development and assessment practices.
- Ability to foster a positive learning environment and promote student engagement.
- Collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
