Deputy Manager (Assembly) - Automotive Industry

Job description / Role

- Oversee and manage assembly operations in compliance with company standards and guidelines
- Supervise and train assembly line staff to ensure efficient production processes
- Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of product output
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize workflow and resolve any issues that may arise
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement team to ensure timely supply of materials
- Implement safety procedures to ensure a secure working environment for all staff
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members
- Assist the Manager in strategic planning and decision-making for the assembly department
- Generate reports on production output, efficiency, and any areas of improvement
- Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to improve assembly processes

Requirements

Desired Candidate Profile

- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other relevant quality management programs
- At least 5 years of experience in assembly operations within the automotive industry
- Fluency in English and additional languages is a plus
- Strong technical skills in assembly line processes and machinery
- Physically fit and able to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
