Job description / Role
Charterhouse is working with an oil and gas EPC who is looking to hire a Design Engineer. You will oversee the engineering activities (piping and static equipment) for the assigned projects in petrochemical and oil and gas plants in accordance with the company procedures.
Requirements
Your duties will be to develop and approve the detailed engineering of awarded projects including PFDs, P&IDs, piping layouts and general arrangement drawings for skid mounted packages as well as developing 3D models using various softwares such as AutoCAD, CADworx, PDMS for gas processing and compression facilities. In addition, you will carry out optimal mechanical design of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks and related fabrication drawings. You will review vendor documents, drawings, specifications and calculations and also participate in HAZOP and HAZID study of awarded O&G EPCC projects.
The successful candidate should possess a bachelors Degree in mechanical engineering and have a minimum of 5 years experience of working in a similar role such as natural gas processing and compression packaging industry. In addition, you should have knowledge of detailed engineering piping and static equipment for gas compression and processing equipment. It is essential that you have the knowledge of all engineering standards (API, ASME, ASTM, and NFPA) as well as all engineering practices such as Shell DEP, Aramco PIP.
