Design Manager

Job description / Role

• Demonstrated experience with developing and maintaining relationships with clients
• Experience in developing project management plans, including schedule baselines, project scope baselines, man-hour estimates, quality plans, budgets and risk plans for building design projects
• Experience in managing the design teams during the execution of design projects across all design stages, including concept design, schematic design, draft final design and construction documents
• String background on leading the coordination with other design departments to integrate designs at all stages for building design projects
• Experience in managing client relations, including managing project expectations, sharing project progress and issues / risks and responding to client clarifications on technical and contractual issues

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in top tier regional / multinational Engineering Consultancy or Project Management firms, with demonstrated expertise in managing building design projects mainly retail/Mall projects in the ME/UAE.
• Highly experienced in management and delivery of building design projects, mainly retail/Mall projects, including team management, schedule and cost control, quality management, risk management and client management throughout the design project lifecycle, in accordance with project budgets and schedules while satisfying all technical and quality projects requirements.
• Bachelor (or higher) degree in Architecture
• PMP certified is an advantage
• Western national with proficiency in spoken and written English
• Excellent, interpersonal and leadership skills
