Job description / Role

GSM Project is a company which specializes in the design of exhibitions and immersive experiences. Founded in 1958, the firm has notably designed the visitor experience of Burj Khalifa, in Dubai, of the Canadian pavilion at the Universal Expo 2010 in Shanghai, and of the National Museum of Singapore, as well as the exhibition-events Indiana Jones and the Adventure of Archeology and Star Wars Identities.

GSM Project offers a complete and global range of services, including the research, design, technological development, creation and production of content, installations and multimedia applications, as well as the project management, fabrication, maintenance and activation of the installations.

The Designer is an integral part of the technical development and installation expertise within the Creative team. This role reports directly to the Creative Director. They act as a specialist in the field of design and integration, collaborating closely with the other members of the creative and production teams.

Responsibilities
- Design of all final exhibit elements (Cabinetry, lighting, showcases, installations and projection parameters),
- Prepare presentation documents of final design, including plans, 3D models and renderings,
- Monitoring and control of technical development and production.

Requirements

- Technical problem solving in various sectors including design, audiovisual and interactive systems;
- Solid knowledge and experience in working with space design, interior architecture;
- Openness, flexibility and resourcefulness to find adequate solutions in collaboration with the creative and production teams;
- Dynamism and organizational capabilities;
- Team spirit;
- Sense of initiative and interest in the continuous improvement of operations;
- Strong Interpersonal communication skills;
- Ability to perform with tight deadlines and flexibility regarding working hours.
- Advanced skills in English (written/spoken), bilingualism in Arabic an asset
- Strong knowledge of 3D software such as Blender, Sketch up and the Adobe Suite.
