Director of Healthcare Architecture - Dubai, UAE
Client was established on the belief that good design has the power to change lives. As a result, they have been influential in shaping architecture globally and have a footprint across all corners of the earth. Their portfolio consists of iconic building across numerous markets and sectors where they have developed a name for their unique perspective on construction.
As part of their strategic outlook for the MENA region, my client is looking to bring onboard a Director of Healthcare to oversee the development of this section of the market locally. With an existing remit globally within healthcare, they are looking for a true leader who can help drive this business unit forward. This role will be part of senior management and will be managing a team initially of 8.
• Actively support the studio lead in the daily operation and development of the architectural studio
• Manage and prepare the response to RFQ/RFP/RFI, including fee proposals and project specific-writing and definition of scope of services
• Assist in initial assessment of potential new projects and competitions including the management of go-no-go processes
• Assist in market research and prepare regular status updates
• Contribute to work winning strategy workshops and customer account management
• Manage a range of writing and business reporting activities
• Operate within the company’s compliance standards to manage commercial and project risks
• Resource forecasting and management
• Conduct regular project performance reviews
Requirements
• Proven track record of leading large architectural teams.
• Ideally between 15 – 20 years’ experience primarily within healthcare.
• Client facing with the ability to pitch for and win new business.
• A strong business acumen with an excellent grasp of the financial and operational side of management.
• Highly motivated with a drive to grow and develop the healthcare division.
• Ideally a knowledge of the local market with a background working on projects across the MENA region.
• Ideally worked for an international architectural design house/consultant.
