Employment: Full Time

The Director of Student Achievement will collaborate with stakeholders to enhance student achievement and close achievement gaps. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of educational data analysis and proficiency in data management systems. The director will work with leaders and teachers to translate data trends into strategic planning for enhancing teaching and learning, curriculum modification and reviewing assessment practices to meet the needs of all learners.

Key Accountabilities:

- To model and encourage a culture of kindness.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop data-driven initiatives and goals aimed at improving student achievement outcomes aligned with the mission, vision, and strategic planning at DAA.

Working with the Assistant of Student Achievement to coordinate standardize testing to:
- Act as the first point of contact between the school and standardized testing providers including MAP, CAT4, PISA, TIMSS, PIRLS, IBT and NGRT, etc.
- Work closely with administration in planning and scheduling testing sessions
- Provide needed exports to the providers with all necessary data
- Work closely with the IT department to provide needed support during the testing process
- Conduct ongoing maintenance and tasks including year-end processes coordinated with the school's Government Relations Executive.

Requirements

Data Analysis and Interpretation:
- Lead the collection, analysis, and interpretation of student achievement data from various sources, including standardized tests, internal assessments, and demographic information.
- Identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement in student performance and create supporting documents for data analysis among stakeholders.
- Working with teachers and leaders, provide data-driven recommendations to inform instructional practices, curriculum development, and intervention strategies.

Additional:
- To attend staff meetings and serve on staff committees as required.
- To perform other duties as assigned.

KPIs:
- KPIs will be generated based on the most current data points such as:
- National Agenda assessment data such as: PISA, TIMSS, PIRLS
- External data mandated from MOE and KHDA such as: MAP, CAT4, NGRT and IBT, etc.
- Job performance will be evaluated by the Head of Teaching, Learning and Innovation in accordance with school policy and implementing regulations.
