Job description / Role
Our client has been established since 2000 and now has subsidiary offices in ten countries, extending its reach around the world from the United States to Europe, the Middle East and Singapore. A well respected, international trading organisation, the company continues steady growth through the region and now requires the services of an experienced office management professional, who can also offer full EA support to the Managing Director and other members of the leadership team.
This role will support the Managing Director in simplifying his life on a professional and private basis. He travels extensively and responsibilities will include arranging complex travel plans, visas and oversee extensive diary management. The incumbent must be one step ahead of the Managing Director and be able to preempt his needs on behalf of the business. The role is largely project driven and offers autonomy on a day to day basis. Additionally, the role oversees the entire management of the office and will have global interaction with offices abroad, particularly in Europe. Full Finance, HR and Compliance accountability is required; with complex reporting directives to Europe on a weekly basis. Candidates who have worked within either the DIFC or DMCC jurisdictions will be at an advantage.
Requirements
The position will be the first point of contact for visitors, screening telephone calls, enquiries and requests and handling them when appropriate, as well as producing documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations. There will also be an element of event management involving Board of Directors meetings and high profile society engagements.
Ideally candidates will possess complete fluency in English, with an additional European language (either/or French, German, Russian) highly advantageous. Moreover, candidates must possess at least four years’ experience within in an Office Management role within the UAE in an international organisation. Demonstrated understanding of compliance, HR and legal regulations within the DMCC and DIFC will be required.
This is a very hands-on and busy role; working in a friendly, multi-cultural team, with strong stability factor.
Please note: Due to the global operational requirements of the business, the office operates a Monday - Friday working week.
