Ecommerce Content Writer

We are seeking an excellent Ecommerce Content Writer who will be responsible for writing and editing content and marketing copy for global FMCG & Retail brands. We’re looking for someone who bridges the world of content marketing and journalism and understands how to craft contemporary content for a savvy, ambitious audience looking to learn and build great products.

Curious, imaginative, with a passion for words, we’re seeking a creative individual dialed into the cultural conversations around entrepreneurship, eCommerce, digital marketing and media. Working in close collaboration with the Creative team, you will write and edit content for e-channels, crafting great stories about innovative eCommerce businesses and the innovators that bring them to life, build foundational educational content based on SEO best practices, create high-level thought leadership whitepapers and partner content, and write clear, concise copy for paid media.

Highly collaborative, organized, and deadline driven, we’re seeking an energetic mind who thrives in a fast paced content production environment, and wants to help build an editorial operation at an innovative company.

Job Responsibilities:

- Write and edit inspirational and ‘how-to’ content for its diverse community of entrepreneurs and merchants across the globe
- Write and copy edit whitepapers, ebooks, reports, webinars, infographics, video scripts, and more
- Work closely with Creative team to develop and execute an engaging and measurable content strategy that supports brand and company objectives
- Support marketing efforts by writing clean, clear copy for weekly emails
- Write and edit compelling feature stories about eCommerce entrepreneurs, trending products, and logistics and eCommerce industry news
- Write and edit compelling social media copy to promote content across social media channels including, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn

Requirements

Skills & Personal Qualities:

- 2+ years of experience in content marketing writing at leading tech, logistics or eCommerce brands.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to develop and maintain an authentic brand voice
- Understands contemporary culture, the media and marketing digital ecosystem, with a keen ability for tracking the news and latest trends
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Content Management Softwares.
- Experience with SEO and social media copywriting
- Demonstrated ability to write compelling content that drives engagement
- Understanding of content marketing strategy and the editorial process
- Strong time-management and organizational skills

Nice to Have:

- Experience writing about logistics, eCommerce or crowdfunding
- Understanding of Keyword Relevancy
- Experience at a B2B, eCommerce or media company writing content
- Understanding of Twitter and Instagram culture and trends
- Understands how organic content supports organic growth and SEO.
