Title:
Electrical & ELV Systems BIM 360 Designer

KBR is seeking an experienced and skilled Electrical Drafter (Designer), to be based in Abu Dhabi / UAE, for the Majnoon EPCM project.

Role:

Creating Electrical and ELV systems 2D / 3D drawings, diagrams, and Building Information Models (BIM), using computer-aided software, for healthcare, residential, commercial etc. structures, based on project design specifications and instructions from Project Managers and Electrical Engineers for infrastructure projects located in Iraq.

Job duties:
- Prepare detailed drawings of Electrical and ELV systems designs and plans for buildings and structures according to specifications provided by lead Electrical Engineer.
- Revise Electrical and ELV drawings and plans as necessary to accommodate changes in design, materials, or construction methods.
- Coordinate and incorporate the work and feedback provided by other Engineers, Surveyors, and other professionals involved in the project.
- Compile Electrical and ELV Engineering data and perform dimensional and routine calculations required to complete Electrical and ELV drawings.
- Use computer-aided drafting equipment and software (AutoCAD, Revit) to produce 2D and 3D drawings, diagrams, sections, elevations, and Building Information Models (BIM).
- Work from sketches or notes to develop Electrical and ELV plans, specifications, and diagrams.
- Adhere to all relevant Electrical and ELV systems codes, regulations, and related electrical safety standards.
- Liaising with other design team members to ensure proper design coordination.
- Assist in preparing cost estimates for electrical and ELV infrastructures construction materials, labor, and equipment.

Requirements

Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in drafting / electrical drafting design, or Electrical Engineering or similar.
- Professional electrical drafter certifications, validating qualifications, will be considered added value
- Minimum 5 years demonstrable experience as an electrical and ELV systems drafter.
- Proficiency with design software (AutoCAD and Revit) and Building Information Modelling (BIM360)
- Excellent understanding of building electrical infrastructures and ELV systems.
- Thorough knowledge of electrical systems design regulations, codes, and standards.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of BIM 360 is a must.
- Able to generate electrical & ELV design drawings, diagrams, and electrical systems details.
- Strong communication skills and collaborative abilities.
