Electrical Engineer - Design & Execution

Job description / Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with expertise in design and execution to join our team in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing electrical systems, overseeing their execution, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The role will involve working closely with other engineers and project managers to deliver high-quality interior design and build projects.

Responsibilities:
- Designing electrical systems for interior design and build projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Collaborating with project managers and other engineers to integrate electrical systems into overall project design.
- Overseeing the execution of electrical designs, providing technical guidance to installation teams, and ensuring adherence to project timelines.
- Conducting site visits to assess electrical systems, identify potential issues, and provide solutions to ensure smooth execution.
- Reviewing and approving electrical drawings, specifications, and technical submittals.
- Coordinating with external vendors and suppliers to source electrical components and equipment as per project requirements.
- Participating in project meetings, providing regular updates on electrical design and execution progress, and addressing any concerns or challenges.
- Staying updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and integrating innovative solutions into project designs.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Professional certification or licensure is a plus.
- Minimum 8 years experience in designing and executing electrical systems for interior design and build projects, in the UAE or GCC region.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, or other electrical design software.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Problem-solving attitude with the ability to think critically and provide innovative electrical solutions.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work within project deadlines.
- Valid UAE driving license and own car and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
- Must hold SOE, DM & DEWA accreditation.
