Emergency Medicine Specialist / Consultant

Job description / Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Medicine Specialist / Consultant to join our esteemed healthcare team in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality emergency medical care to patients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. As an integral part of our healthcare team, the Emergency Medicine Specialist / Consultant will play a key role in diagnosing and treating patients with urgent medical conditions, as well as providing leadership and expertise in emergency medicine.

Responsibilities:
- Provide timely and effective emergency medical care to patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries
- Perform initial assessments, diagnostic tests, and medical interventions for patients in the emergency department
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care
- Demonstrate proficiency in advanced life support techniques and procedures
- Participate in the development and implementation of evidence-based protocols and guidelines for emergency medical care
- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and residents in the emergency department
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient safety efforts within the emergency department
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation of patient care activities

Salary:
AED 45,000 to 95,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

- Medical degree from a recognized medical school
- Board certification or equivalent in Emergency Medicine
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in emergency medicine, with a focus on acute care and trauma management
- Proven track record of clinical excellence and leadership in emergency medicine
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of emergency medicine
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure and time-sensitive situations
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus
- Experience working in a multicultural and diverse healthcare setting
