Engineer - Wet Utilities

Main Purpose of the Job:

Mott MacDonald is currently looking for a Wet Utilities Engineer for its Land Development team in Abu Dhabi, to support with the technical delivery of multiple master-planning/land development projects across the Emirate.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:

* Prepare reports and design documentation for water, wastewater, irrigation and storm water infrastructure projects
* Prepare hydraulic modelling for water, wastewater, irrigation and storm water
* Prepare design using Civil 3D software for BIM environment
* Ensure quality and timely delivery of infrastructure projects to Mott MacDonald clients
* Conduct a technical review for progress reporting
* Liaising/meeting with developers, clients or stakeholders to update on progress
* Provide any reports update to the projects design managers and project managers including clients when needed
* Coordinate aspects of projects submittal and deliverables, reviews and approvals against contract requirements. Report and advice on deviations from the same
* Assist in providing design, reports, and liaison role for all disciplines/departments.
* Assist the Manager/Senior Engineers or Designates in work coordination with other Mott MacDonald teams
* Assist in providing marketing support to the team with current and future clients
* Seek the optimal solution from internal and external sources for any design-related issues
* Outline cost and quantity estimation for wet services

Requirements

Essential Candidate Requirements:

* Minimum Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering; progressing towards Professional Registration (CEng or similar) with membership in a professional institution
* Design of pressurised and gravity systems using Civil3D
* Hydraulic modelling of pressurised and gravity systems
* Ability to manage a design and approval process interfacing with the project team, clients and stakeholders
* Experience of design and approval of infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi
* In-depth understanding of Abu Dhabi Authority Guidelines is a must
* Sound knowledge of local authority and standards mainly (DPM/UPC, ADDC, TRANSCO, DoE/ ADWEA, ETISALAT, DU, RSB, ADM, DEWA, RTA, DM)
* Experienced in BIM
* In-depth understanding of relevant software is a must
* Must come from a strong infrastructure engineering background with previous experience on infrastructure projects
* Project Management Professional, or similar qualifications
* Experience and skills including ProjectWise, Infraworks, Navisworks, Openutilities etc
