Engineering Design Manager

Job description / Role

Client is a multi-national equipment supplier to the Oil & Gas Industry. They manufacture and supply specialist oilfield equipment to various end users across the globe.

The Engineering Manager is required to provide efficient solutions to the development of processes and products, mechanically and electromechanically, ranging from small component designs to extremely large products. You will be working on all stages of a product, from the research process onto the development of the design and manufacture, through to the installation and commissioning stage.

You will be accountable for client interaction, commercial and account management, project evaluation and execution, development of manufacturing processes and production cycles, and providing support to all Engineering and Yard staff.

Requirements

- At least 10 years experience in structural/mechanical systems design, particularly of drilling/accommodation rigs, auxiliary equipment, mud pumps, power packs, containers and other upstream equipment
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Excellent design and conceptual skills
- Strong product analysis ability and in presenting technical information
- Strong ability to manage engineering/manufacturing processes and production planning
- Highly motivated, team player with excellent work ethic
- Middle East experience highly desirable
