Engineering Team Leader

Rixos Marina Hotel Abu Dhabi is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Team Leader to join our dynamic team. As the Engineering Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the engineering department's operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of all engineering activities within our properties.

What you will be doing:

- Lead a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance, training, and mentorship
- Coordinate and prioritize daily tasks and projects to ensure timely completion
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment, identifying maintenance needs and addressing them promptly
- Oversee the implementation of preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth coordination of engineering activities
- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships for sourcing equipment and services
- Assist in budget preparation and control costs within the engineering department
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, implementing them as appropriate
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Your experience and skills include:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent technical knowledge of engineering principles and systems
- Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant tools
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Physicals aspects include but are not limited to:

- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
