Job description / Role
- Review architectural plans and prepare quantity needs / BOQ for Steel Doors and Ironmongery
- Price & forecast the cost of the different materials essential for the Steel Doors and Ironmongery in line with the Fire and Building Standards.
- Estimate & Pricing the steel doors in line with the Civil Defense Requirement Based on Location of Steel Doors by Fetching same in Floor plan.
- Able to Propose the Suitable Ironmonger for Steel doors/ wooden doors based on the Door Location.
- Preparing Door and Ironmongery Schedule [ Including Masker Keying System I From architectural Floor plans in accordance with Project Specification.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for fire door projects based on specifications and drawings
- Analyze project requirements and identify potential risks and opportunities
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure accurate and timely estimates
- Generate detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and cost breakdowns for materials, labor, and equipment
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams on fire door specifications and installation
- Attend project meetings and communicate effectively with stakeholders to address any concerns or issues
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to fire door installations
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and share knowledge with team members
Requirements
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in estimating fire door projects
- Experience working in the construction industry, preferably with a focus on fire protection systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality
