Estimator (Fitouts)

Job description / Role

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to review project plans and specifications.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates by quantifying materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
- Solicit and evaluate quotes from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure competitive pricing and availability of materials and services.
- Maintain and expand a network of reliable industry contacts.
- Create comprehensive project budget proposals that include cost breakdowns, anticipated expenses, and potential contingencies.
- Present budget proposals to clients and project stakeholders and address any inquiries or concerns.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify cost-saving opportunities, alternative materials, and methods without compromising quality or design integrity.
- Help in value engineering solutions to optimize project costs.
- Maintain an up-to-date cost database, incorporating market fluctuations and changes in materials and labor costs.
- Use historical data to enhance the accuracy of future cost estimates.
- Prepare and submit competitive bids for fitout projects, ensuring they align with the company's pricing strategy and financial goals.
- Coordinate the bid submission process.

Salary:
AED 8,000 to 10,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering , Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Estimator in fitout projects with a track record of successful cost estimating.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software and tools.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in cost calculations
