Job description / Role
Event design
- Design and brand all events plans and participates in including WFES, YFEL, Lecture Series
Event planning and Project Management
- Plan, organize, coordinate, promote, and facilitate all events plans
- Manage the approval process of all events
- Maintains policy and procedures for all events
- Create and manage a critical path strategy for all events
- Supports recruitment events on all events
- Organize internal events for students and faculty
Event promotion
- Research events and provide recommendations for participating with strategy
- Acts as prime source for promotion of activities and special events
- Establish criteria to evaluate events/opportunities
- Measures and evaluates events participation
Communications
- Create and maintain comprehensive communications strategies for each individual event supported
- Maintains master events listings and disseminates this information to all internal stakeholders
- Schedules and maintains communication with speakers, vendors, and participants; coordinates and monitors event timelines
- Creation of a variety of publications, materials, and programs for events
- Initiates, coordinates and/or participates in all efforts to publicize promotion of activities, services, and events
Requirements
- Bachelors of Event Management or significant years of experience managing large events.
- 5-7 years of experience as an event planner.
- Event planning
- Public relations and marketing principles and practices;
- Has experience with engagement programs and is familiar with social media and the latest DM trends
- Has marketing copywriting skills
- Has creative flair for developing practical, engaging, sustainable ideas
- Writing and composition skills
- Creative, proactive
- Committed, reliable and flexible
- Able to work well within a team
