Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

We're looking for an Executive - Commodities Operations to join our Commodities team to support IT platform growth from a technical perspective. The role is not limited to platform upkeep but also cascades to new product development, upgrades to existing infrastructure and updates in terms of fixes etc. and introduction of new modules.

This role is the principal point of contact for all matters related to the IT infrastructure of DMCC Tradeflow, Cropdata and all other IT systems for internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

• Process transactions and stakeholder coordination to ensure flawless system continuity.
• Ensure maximum customer satisfaction by managing their request.
• Support serving customers’ needs and not just following a process or instruction.
• Keen interest in IT and Commodities and willing to learn and develop. Excellent attention to detail, an analytical mind and ability to work with various stakeholders (Customers, IT software developers, IT hosting agents, etc.) are key to succeeding in this role.
• Manage product support of DMCC Tradeflow and E-Marketplace platform in order to ensure all environments are UP.
• Manage defect and enhancement cycles of DMCC Tradeflow and E-Marketplace platform.
• Manage product support of any new IT platform that will be implemented for Commodities department.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you must have the following:

• B. Tech. or equivalent or above in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• JAVA, spring and hibernate.
• Hands on in JAVA development, spring and hibernate. Onsite experience of training, troubleshooting issues, interacting with stakeholders technically and handling clarifications.
• Knowledge of IT audits and software development life cycle.
• Skilled in Java, JSP, Jquery/Javascript, Oracle 11g, SQL Server, HTML, CSS.
• Capabilities in providing product support and structuring customized solutions to meet customer’s specific needs.
• High-performing with proven professional diligence and calibre in system administration, troubleshooting, system configuration and technical support operations targeting optimal operational performance.
