Job description / Role
Responsible for ensuring that all Safety legislation is adhered and policies and practices are adopted. Need to plan, implement, monitor and review the protective and preventive measures that are required or choose to follow, and work to minimize operational losses, occupational health problems, accidents and injuries. Making changes to working practices that are safe and comply with legislation. Act as Primary First Aider on site.Keeping records of incidents and accidents and producing MIS reports for managers as and when required. Keeping up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the employer's industry. Carrying out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being strictly complied with. Leading in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks.
Requirements
• Bachelors : Any Stream
• NEBOSH certification
• 4-6 years experience as Safety Officer
• Understanding of local labor laws
• Ability to motivate, coach and develop people
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Good communication, presentation and facilitation skills
