Job description / Role
As a Facilities Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for coordinating with the business units to identify the operational requirements and select the best vendors for the execution of the projects and day-to-day operations. You will also ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, following the approved internal guidelines.
Some of your main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Developing and managing project plans, timelines, and objectives by meeting with project stakeholders.
- Serving as a liaison between team members and ensuring effective communication throughout the project timelines.
- Monitoring and tracking project tasks, deadlines, deliverables, and budget.
- Creating and maintaining project documentation, such as schedules, progress reports, and meeting minutes.
- Providing support to team members, helping them stay on track and resolving any issues or roadblocks.
- Developing and coordinating plans for facilities projects, such as space management, staff moves, furniture and equipment, etc.
- Preparing complex and technical statistical analyses, reports, and surveys related to space.
- Coordinating assigned activities in relation to day-to-day operation and ensuring service level agreements are met.
- Building and maintaining business relationships with strategic external entities.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management or a related field.
- A degree in project management or a related field is preferred.
- 5-8 years of experience in a related job function, with at least 5 years of experience in the UAE.
- Knowledge of budgetary practices and principles, space utilization and facilities management, and supervisory practices and principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong interpersonal and reporting skills, and capacity to deal with ambiguity and identify pro-active solutions.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing. Arabic language competency would be advantageous.
