Position Title: Fiber Optic Technician
Employment Type: Full Time
Salary: up to 4K AED all-inclusive depending on experience and qualifications plus transportation and simcard
Job Location: Dubai, UAE

About the Client:
The hiring company is a Dubai based telecommunications company that provides cabling, systems integration and maintenance services across all the Emirates

Job Role:
• Ability to fusion or mechanical splice SM or MM fiber optic cables, also to terminate various types of fiber optic connectors (ST, SC, LC)
• Work with Site Engineers or ISP& OSP Project Engineer to perform splicing as directed
• Installation and testing of pressurized and non-pressurized closures on all types and sizes cable
• Develop standard and specifications for splice drawings and prepare drawing per specifications
• Installation and dressing of fiber optic cables (vertical/horizontal)
• Serve as a resource to the internal staff on matters concerning splicing practices and procedures
• Maintain fiber asset inventory and splicing records
• Manage multiple projects at one time
• Organize splicing as builds files utilizing software packages for in house fiber cable inventory and route designs

Requirements

Requirements:
• Male, 45 y/o and below
• High school diploma or any related certifications
• At least 3 years’ experience as a Senior Fiber Optic Technician
• Must have an experience working in DU or Etisalat as subcon or direct
• Extensive experience on preparation/splicing of Joint enclosures/Torpedos
• Knowledgeable of Telecoms Operator Network and Backbone Fiber Cables
• Excellent communication skills
