Finance Director

Job description / Role

Our Client, a leading company in the UAE, is looking for a Finance Director for the Family Office to be based in Dubai.

The main purpose of the role is to oversee the financial control, forecasting, audit, corporate finance and accounting.  The role requires someone with a strong finance/accounting background, who can also manage all the constantly moving parts of the private office finances. The role would come with a small team of direct reports and due to the large portfolio of assets/funds, overseas travel will be required.

Other responsibilities will include:
• Preparation and review of monthly management accounts and year end accounts and audits
• Preparation and review of consolidated financials and group performance reporting
• Analysis and reporting
• Managing processes of business planning, budgeting and forecasting
• Internal audit reviews of operating businesses within the group
• Manage and review work of finance in various locations
• Formulation and management of annual budgets and targets, strategic planning and focus on tax/cost efficiency
• Be an advisor from the financial perspective on any contracts into which the family may enter.
• Submit annual budgets and reporting of actual costs and drive strong and robust cost efficiency
• Responsible for all tax planning and compliance across the given areas of responsibility
• Provide clear advisory direction on all financial private matters.

Requirements

In order to apply for this role, you must be Degree qualified, with an Accountancy qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA), with a minimum of five years’ experience, within a family office role. In addition, you must have a high level of IT skills and financial reporting knowledge, as well as internal auditing experience. Regular travel is required for this role and would suit someone young and dynamic, who is looking for a long-term career move.
