Employment: Full Time

An opportunity has arisen to join the EDPM ME&A finance team as Finance Director supporting the Design & Engineering business (D&E). This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful business that has recently appointed a new MD.

Key Responsibilities

- Financial support and business partner to D&E MD and wider SLT
- Robust financial management, control & reporting of the D&E business;
- All budgeting and forecasting for D&E;
- Bid support and guidance as required;
- Support to Region FD as required

The individual should be a proven business partner and a highly motivated self-starter. Within SNC-L it is important that finance and this individual is able to business partner but also act with independence from the businesses they support. They must be able to manage multiple (sometimes conflicting) stakeholders.

Requirements

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
- Recognized accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW etc). Post qualified 7 years+

Essential Criteria

- Financially & commercially aware with ability to see the bigger picture;
- Business partner but with proven ability to remain independent when appropriate;
- Strong communication and influencing skills;
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple stakeholder relationships;
- Understanding of tax regimes in GCC;
- Identify process improvements and manage to completion.

Desirable Criteria

- Strategic thinking;
- Strong report writing skills;
- Ability to mentor finance and non finance staff.
