Job description / Role
Our client, a leading retail company is seeking a highly professional and experienced Finance Director with a strong background in Retail industry
Responsibilities:
• Form a close working relationship with the CEO and other Head of Departments
• Provide leadership to the Finance and Accounting strategy to optimise financial performance and strategic position.
• Take overall control of and lead the company’s accounting function.
• Ensure that company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth.
• Provide routine and ad hoc reports as required by the company, minority banks and stakeholders.
• Work with senior teams to manage the businesses, evaluate commercial risks and exposures, and formulate strategies and plans.
• Ensure corporate budgeting processes are carried out and reviewed.
• Present financials to the top management and other stakeholders as required
• Ensure that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met.
• Corporate finance: manage company policies regarding capital requirements, debt, taxation, equity, disposals and acquisitions, and Audit as appropriate.
• Establish a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with external parties including banks, customers, suppliers, lawyers and advisors.
Requirements
• Candidates must be fully qualified (ACA, CMA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Candidates must have a min of 10 years of experience
• Candidates must have some experience within the GCC
• Audit background is a plus
• Candidates must be extremely well presented with exceptional communication and presentation skills.
