Finance Manager

Job description / Role

As a Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the financial health of the organization. You will be responsible for developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and systems, as well as providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's overall objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis:
• Develop and maintain financial models to support business forecasting and decision-making.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis and present findings to senior management.
• Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
• Monitor and analyze budget variances, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Financial Reporting:
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and presentations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
• Cash Flow Management:
• Manage cash flow by monitoring daily transactions, forecasting future cash needs, and optimizing liquidity.

Risk Management:
• Identify and assess financial risks, proposing strategies to mitigate and manage potential issues.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

Team Leadership:
• Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Should be proficient in
• Group reporting, Consolidation
• Preparation financial statements
• Supervising Monthly Closing
• Finalising accruals and provisions
• Supervising receivables/payable
• Review of payments
• Supervision of accounting team and their day to day functions
• Tax reporting and compliance,
• MS Excel, Word.
• Dealing with banks
• Working External and internal auditors
