Job description / Role
We require a Finance Manager whose areas of focus will be:
- Capital expenditure and development projects
- Bank and treasury reporting
The above role will require the candidate to liaise with other Global office departments, in particular Procurement and Development. Further, communicate with Finance teams of the operating entities to ensure bank and treasury reporting compliance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Capital expenditure and development projects
- Review capex budgets submitted by various operating entities. Through the review process liaise with development team and respective operating entities to ensure capex budget is finalized and presented to Board of Directors for their approval;
- Ensuring compliance with capex policy and procedures.
- Review monthly capex reporting received from operating entities to ensure reporting is accurate and to monitor capex against budget;
- Review capex requests received for Global Finance approval. This includes review of ROI calculations received and ensuring compliance with P&P’s.
- Preparing monthly capex reporting pack.
Bank and treasury reporting
- Review all monthly bank reconciliations prepared by concerned finance team member.
- Prepare monthly bank reporting pack – to include cash position/ bank borrowing of Global office and respective operating entities.
- To ensure all bank compliance reporting is completed for Global office (prepare reporting based on financials received from Reporting team) and operating entities (review reporting from operating entities)
- Liaising with banks to provide data as and when required. For instance in case of entering into a new facility or refinancing an existing facility within the Group or at Operating entities.
Other areas
- Month-end payroll accounting.
- Support on Global Office budget and forecasting process.
- Board reporting for capex and treasury.
- Responding to audit queries relating to capex and ‘cash & bank’.
Requirements
- Preferably from an audit background - big 4 experience is an added advantage.
- Qualification required - Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant.
- Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience.
- Sound IFRS accounting background.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Required to prepare various presentations for top management and Board of directors - require strong computer skills.
