Job description / Role

Reporting Line: Finance Manager

Location: Dubai, UAE

About the Job:

An ideal candidate is one who collaborates with other accountants and financial staff in the company to provide financial and accounting support to executives and department heads to establish goals and budgets for the organization.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

• Full Accountability and Responsibility for the group accounts allocated to him/her
• Maintain the chart of accounts and general ledger
• Ensure that entries have been recorded correctly and are relevant and valid for the entities under his/her control
• Manage accounting staff – Senior accountant, accountant and AR/Credit controller
• Fully accountable to ensure that all month end deadlines are met, all reconciliations completed and provide draft set of accounts for review by FM
• Ensure bank reconciliations are completed
• Full responsibility for the integrity of the management and financial accounts.
• Provide the FM with first line reasons for variances between actual vs forecast vs budget
• Review of Tax returns and fillings
• Prepare Cash flow forecasts and provide weekly updates of actual versus forecast

Requirements

Your Knowledge/Skills, Educations & Experience:

Qualifications and Certifications:

• Master’s degree in accounting & Finance preferred
• Minimum 3-4 years of experience as a Financial Accountant
• Profession CA or CIMA Certification preferred

Skills Requirement:

• Proven organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Proven problem solver, results focused, self-motivated and a proactive individual
• MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) proficiency required

Communication:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skill
