Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Objectives: Provides operational and strategic support in the preparation of budget and regular financial reports by presenting insights through logical analysis to attain optimal business decisions.

Reporting to: COMMERCIAL CONTROLLER

Main responsibilities:
- Provide the Budget tools to the Business Units and Function Heads in Head Office and facilitate the preparation of budgets by providing guidance and assistance as and when necessary.
- Analyse and consolidate budget inputs in line with the pre-determined guidelines and submit the same to the Finance and Senior Management.
- Prepare Mid-Year Forecast within pre-determined guidelines and submit the same to the Finance and Senior Management.
- Preparing bi-weekly sales report of the Group.
- Prepare monthly Financial reports (Flash report)/Analyses and Finance Dashboard which covers monthly P&L, CAPEX, brand profitability and variance analysis, monthly operating expenses variance, etc.
- Ensure proper record keeping of financial information to retain prior and current financial results and data. (Financial data repository)
- Provide strategic support to senior management in the preparation of board presentations, financial presentations, capital expenditure, industry/peer group comparisons, new business opportunities and other projects as designated.
- Participate in the development of financial models/reporting tools to support essential strategic initiatives as and when required.
- Participate in the ROI calculation pertaining to Capex projects, New Product Development (NPD), new customers or business opportunities, etc.
- Prepare Senaat reporting with related analysis.
- Have an important role in the continuous improvement of Financial Planning, Reporting and Analysis – provide necessary help to operational units.
- Adhoc reports/analysis, other tasks as required.

Working Hours: 8:30am to 5:00pm

Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting
- Preferably CPA, CMA, CA or ACCA (or related qualification)
- 3-4 years’ experience

Job-Specific Skills:
- Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
- Knowledge on ERP system (Microsoft Navision preferred) and reporting tools (TM1 preferred).
- Knowledge and understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated.
