Job description / Role

Taaleem Central Office are currently exploring the market in order to appoint an experienced and professional, Financial Analyst to become part of a well established team in the heart of Dubai. This role will offer excellent opportunity to continue your career within one of the leading education providers in the Middle East.

Reporting into the Financial Accounting & Control Manager supporting on all aspects of management accounting, financial accounting and implementation of the new ERP system (Group wide) and integration of new businesses. Will also play a key role with ongoing financial support to the schools

You will be responsible for the following

Support with the preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS standards and applicable UAE regulations
• Leading certain month end (and yearly) closing activities, ensuring relevant deadlines are met
• Support with Receivables, Payable, VAT, petty cash, expense claims
• Regular review and maintenance of the Chart of Accounts
• Support with the external audit process
• Support with Budgeting & Forecasting
• Developing processes and drive efficiencies throughout the department
• Instill financial discipline through-out the organization
• Analysis
• Support with analysing all lines of the P&L, BS, and Cash Flow to explain variances in Budgets
• Ability to translate analysis into presentation suitable for senior stakeholders (CFO, CEO, Board, and Principals) and ensure accuracy of contents
• Operation Managers (schools) / Central functions
• Business partnering with schools: build awareness across the business and be a key point of contact for all finance support
• Varied, business partnering with Central Functions
• Conduct monthly cost reviews with School Operation Managers / Central Function budget holders
• Play a key role in the implementation of the new ERP system
• Other Ad-hoc project work across the Finance department as required
• Integration of new businesses / income streams
• Continuously seek ways to improve financial processes and drive efficiencies throughout the department


• Bachelor Degree in Finance or similar subject
• Part or Newly Qualified CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CPA

Previous experience working within an international organization (desirable, not essential)
• Strong analytical skills and ability to present financial data clearly and accurately to non-finance personnel
• Prioritization, time management and planning skills
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills including Powerpoint and Outlook
• Comfortable with being exposed to Senior Management
• Excellent collaborative skills and ability to quickly establish effective relationships with key stakeholders
• Keen to learn and develop
