Employment: Full Time

The Controller bears substantial accounting and reporting duties, which encompass verifying Distribution Partner expenses, planning for Distribution Partners, and offering assistance to other members of the finance team as needed.

Description

Responsibility for Managing Distribution Partner (DP) Expenses:

* Collect, consolidate, and accurately process monthly Marketing Expense Recharges (MER) to maintain data consistency in SAP and DP Recharge 2.0 App.
* Review monthly DP expense claims for compliance with FX rates.
* Verify expense claims to ensure proper documentation.
* Ensure expenses adhere to internal approval matrix.
* Ensure compliance with international accounting standards and group controlling guidelines.

Support for Regional Finance Team in Administration Tasks Related to DP Recharges:

* Monitor claims to ensure timely submissions.
* Coordinate with other region's accounting team for timely settlement of expense claims to DP.
* Management of DP Bill Back Tool:
* Ensure timely approval of DP expenses on the DP Recharge 2.0 App.
* Maintain authorization rights, signing limits, and master data updates regularly.

Other Accounting Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with the Regional finance team to process necessary accounting general journals (adjustments) monthly.
* Enhance reporting efficiency through regular feedback to DP accounting and management teams via Regional Finance Managers and Business Unit Managers.
* Ensure data sharing for any changes to accounting requirements or group controlling guidelines through Regional finance managers.
* Update accruals monthly and reconcile EOSB accruals quarterly.

Fixed Assets Management:

* Reconcile fixed assets in DP markets with accounting records annually by obtaining necessary confirmations from DP/CMs.
* Ensure proper documentation supports all team cars in DP Markets with Vehicle Use Agreements.
* Ensure necessary supporting documents are available for asset scrap/disposal in the markets.

Planning:

* Distribute Plan Commenting Dashboards to individual markets for input and assist in consolidating data for Regional Management.
* Support Distribution Partner Teams with input in DP Planning Tool for Business Plan and Revised Estimates.
* Reconcile data in required planning systems (BI & Hyperion).
* Assist Regional Finance Managers with administrative tasks during the planning exercise.
* Manage master data maintenance in SAP for new internal orders in alignment with planning files.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

* Possess a full-time Bachelor's degree in commerce or accountancy, coupled with 2-3 years of experience in a core accounting role, or be a qualified professional with 1 year of work experience.

EXPERIENCE

* Accumulated 2-3 years of experience in a core accounting function within an FMCG organization.
* Familiarity with SAP R/3 Finance module or similar ERP systems is preferred, though not obligatory.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

* Proficient in independently performing bookkeeping tasks up to the trial balance level.
* Capable of effectively communicating solutions to customers, stakeholders within markets, Senior Controllers, and/or Finance Managers.
* Possess excellent spoken and written English skills.
* Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and advanced-level MS Excel.
* Familiarity with Hyperion and SAP BI would be advantageous.
