Fire Safety Manager

Job description / Role

Our client a boutique Fire Engineering Consultancy requires a Fire Safety Manager to be site based on a prestigious retail development in Abu Dhabi

Key Responsibilities;
• Take ownership of fire safety within the shopping centre developing leading & implementing fire safety management
• Provide assured fire leadership and operating in a collaborative and business-effective manner
• Conduct fire risk assessments across the shopping centre, instigating continuous improvement and devising safe working protocol for high risk areas
• Provide day-to-day expertise and guidance to all staff, promoting awareness of safe working and driving a safer behavioral culture
• Developing and ensuring compliance with safety standards and training standards, and establish procedure for evacuations and security alerts

Requirements

• Be University educated in Fire/Safety or similar
• Minimum 10-15 years’ experience in Fire Safety Management
• Previous experience of Fire Safety Management in a large retail development advantageous
• In-depth knowledge of relevant fire legislation and guidance
• Experience educating different levels of audience on fire safety
• Must be strong character to deal with challenging client
• Previous GCC experience desired but not essential
• Western Expats
