Employment: Full Time

Objectives:
We are seeking trustworthy candidates who work efficiently without sacrificing accuracy. Accountants can expect to work with large amounts of numerical data, handle multiple tasks with deadlines, and provide transparent and complete reports to management. You should have a firm grasp of accounting and financial practices and regulations and possess strong computer and verbal and written communication skills.

The accountant's responsibility is to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports. It includes auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements, and calculating Vat payments and returns. Analyze trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Reports the organization's finances to management and offers suggestions about resource utilization, strategies, and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.

To ensure success, you should be prompt, honest, detail-oriented, professional, and analytical. In addition to previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes. Ultimately, you will provide us with accurate quantitative information on the financial position, liquidity, and cash flows of our business, while ensuring we are compliant with all regulations.

Main responsibilities:
• Identifying and Analyzing Business Transactions
• Manage all accounting transactions
• Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions
• Preparing and posting journals
• Logging daily entries in accordance with accounting policy
• Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
• Reconciles financial inconsistencies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Projecting cost calculations
• Costing for projects
• Receiving and storing invoices
• Prepares payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
• Maintaining accurate financial records, and security.
• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts closings
• Audit financial transactions and documents
• Compute VAT and prepare VAT returns
• Prepare financial statements and produce budget forecasts
• Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
• Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends on the company’s financial health and liquidity.
• Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and generally accepted accounting procedures
• Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
• Provide technical support and advice to the management
• Report to management regarding financial activity of the company
• Communicate with Manager and/or Director on work status and client issues that arise
• Works as part of the accounting department to keep finances running smoothly
• Reviewing all financial transactions for accuracy and ensuring that accounting records are up to date
• Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.

• Reporting to: General Manager
• Duration: Permanent Position
• Working Hours: Monday-Saturday 8am-5pm
• Desired start date: Immediately
• Probation: 3 Months

• Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, or relevant degree
• Minimum 3-10 years’ experience in accounting/finance
• Work experience as an Accountant
• Experience with financial reporting requirements
• Experience with creating financial statements
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• Hands-on experience with accounting software like QuickBooks etc.
• Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus
