General Manager

Job description / Role

• Prepare and review Annual Financial Statements
• Review Quarterly Accounts and VAT Returns
• Working knowledge of VAT
• Delegation of Vat Returns to be prepared and submitted within time constraints
• Manage team and running of Accountancy operations within company
• Excellent communication skills in handling clients and staff
• Streamlining reporting procedures and workflow of staff
• Ability to bring clients on board from enquiries
• Generate new leads by tapping into the market
• High competency accounting technical skills
• Well presentable
• Reporting to Stakeholders on monthly numbers and performance
• Previous practice strategy and development is a desirable but not essential
• Knowledge of Accounting Systems such as Zoho Books, Quickbooks, Xero.
• Monitor and review tax compliance procedures; administrative and quality control.
• Stay up to date with industry best practice and ensure any changes are communicated.
• Plan, direct, and execute various accounting projects.
• Assist clients in reaching their goals through audit, tax, advisory, risk assessment.

Salary:
AED 15000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

The ideal candidate would be someone either within a practice management position or Senior in a practice looking for their next move, who manages staff on a daily basis. They should have around 4-8 year post-grad experience and be fluent with talking to clients and potential clients. Working knowledge of VAT is a must and experience in streamlining processes is highly desirable, as is knowledge of various Accounting softwares.

The potential manager would be running the business so to speak, from an operational perspective. They would report in to the Stakeholders of the company on a regular basis regarding procedural implementation and results as well as being mentored via partner companies regarding the local environment, demographic of clientele and general direction of the company.
