Employment: Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY

This role is operationally and strategically responsible for all rent-a-car operations in UAE. Position will be accountable for the revenue and profitability of the business by continuous monitoring of retail sales, fleet sales, after-sales and operational functions. Manage the Profit & Loss for rent-a-car operations and review variances to plan with line managers.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, motivate and coordinate the team by leadership and implement best business practices.
• Explore and increase the rent-a-car business opportunity across UAE.
• Plan and implement various business development strategies, focusing on marketing, high margin revenue, operating costs and estimated profits to achieve the goals and objectives.
• Prepare annual budget for business and ensure the budget is achieved.
• Develop new business opportunity to improve the revenue and maximize the profitability of rent-a-car operations.
• Ensure the expenditures of the business are within the authorized annual budget of the Company and guarantee the effective cost control measures for the operations.
• Pay close attention to daily operations, recommend and create improved action where necessary.
• Communicate effectively with the team on departmental forecasts and ensure consistency with annual projections.
• Ensure the business policies and procedures are being adopted by the team and ensure the adherence of SOP for all the functions.
• Ensure optimum utilization of available software for business process.
• Oversee the development of rent/lease and after sales infrastructure network where ever it is necessary.
• Establish and enforce the pricing policy to balances volume, customer loyalty, and the cost of business.
• Ensure the proper functions of Service department (after sales) to cater the Customers need.
• Undertake competitor and trend analysis based on prevailing market conditions.
• Safeguard the brand image and performance in line with to global premium brand (Rent A Car) guidelines, adhere to compliance requirements and government regulations.
• Drive marketing strategy in coordination with marketing department to develop cost effective advertising programs and merchandizing strategies for business.
• Resolve the customer complaints that are escalated by the department managers.
• Analyze and interpret the business reports to the management.
• Identify the competency gap and growth requirements for the team and provide the appropriate development program.
• Build a strong team of personnel that will drive the business forward and deliver the best levels of customer service.
• Conduct regular meetings with the department managers to ensure their performance and efficiency.
• Ensure to adhere to the corporate policy.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES

Educational Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline

Additional Qualification:
• Complimented by Master’s degree in Business Administration / Sales & Marketing.

Years of Experience:
• Successful candidate must have minimum 15 years’ of relevant experience, out of which 5 years of rent-a-car development in UAE/GCC in a management role.
• Candidate must have also developed knowledge of relevant laws and regulatory environment for the industry.

Job specific skills:
• Must able to manage the department heads effectively, have a strong knowledge of the market, and an in-depth understanding of all rent/lease departments’ financial data as well as strong customer relations skills in relation to dealership development.
• Ability to explore businesses and add new clients to the rent-a-car business.
• Ability to manage the sales team and multiple departments effectively.
• Demonstrated commitment to provide a high level of customer service consistent with organizational values and objectives.
• Ability to maintain the profitability with high level customer satisfaction, while controlling expenses.
• Ability to communicate and negotiate strongly with Principals.
• Excellent commercial and numerical acumen with exemplary communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Proven history of driving strategic plans with proven track record of recognizing achievements.
• Ability to solve problems critical to the business operation.
