Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client, a leading retail company is seeking a highly professional and experienced General Manager with a strong background in Retail industry handling Property Management, Leasing, Operations, Administration, Tenant Relations, and Facilities Management etc.

The successful candidate will oversee various divisions such as Shopping Centre Supervisors, Leasing Division, Commercial, MEP/Facilities Management, Property Management as well as Marketing, Sales and Finance. This is a critical key development which requires a unique trustworthy leader to ensure the continuous smooth running of the centres and to oversee all projects as well as direct operations.

You will also lead a team of high level retail experts, offering advice to improve the performance of the asset. The successful candidate should have solid mall management experience and a proven track record of setting and delivering strategy to improve the performance of retail assets. You should be able to communicate in perfect written and spoken English and Arabic whilst being a charismatic yet patient individual who can interact with people and a constantly changing retail market.

The person will also manage daily operations, overseeing all maintenance, security and cleaning, developing a business strategy, oversee lease administration, financial management, manage investor relations, tenant relations, and assist with developing marketing strategies within the team. To ensure risk management is kept to a minimum and benchmark quality as well as improving staff development. He will work closely with the CEO and build long relationships with partners.

Requirements

• University Degree in Management, Retail or Hospitality
• Must have at least 10 years of experience in management, retail, hospitality or tourism. Preferably a member of a professional body.
• Must have a strong business acumen and consistent career history
• Should be able to implement policies, maximise revenue, assist in capital works development and oversee operations.
• Proven experience in Property Management, Facilities Management, Tenant Relations, Leasing, Marketing, Operations etc.
• Must have an excellent communication skills
• Must have the ability to communicate/interact and build long relationships
