GIS Specialist

Job description / Role

Responsibility, as follows but Not Limited To:
• Comprehensive Knowledge and Hands on Experience on Linear Referencing System (LRS).
• Comprehensive Knowledge and Hands on Experience to Prepared Road GIS Database including Roads Pavement and Right of Way Asset.
• Comprehensive Knowledge and Understanding to implement GIS Quality Standards (QA/QC).
• Comprehensive Knowledge of GIS Topology Rules.
• Prepare and finalize all required GIS reports.
• Hands on Experience on AutoCAD to GIS Conversion.
• Hand on Experience on Conversion of Different Sources to GIS Conversion.
• Comprehensive Knowledge of Spatial Quarries.
• Hand on Experience on Model Builders and Python Scripting.
• Prepare metadata and other documentation.
• Present information to the Department and answer questions.
• Knowledge of Road pavement and road asset data collection
• Analyse spatial data for geographic statistics to incorporate into documents and reports
• Create maps and graphs, using GIS software and related equipment.
• Cartography and May Layouts development.
• Compile geographic data from a variety of sources including censuses, field observation, satellite imagery, aerial photographs, and existing maps.
• Enter new map data through use of a digitizer or by direct input of coordinate information using the principles of cartography including coordinate systems, longitude, latitude, elevation, topography, and map scales.
• Good Image Interpretation Skills.
• Adequate Knowledge of ArcGIS/ArcGIS Pro & GeoMedia software.
• Adequate Knowledge of MS Office Suite.
• Hand on Experience on Las/ Lidar data processing and feature extraction.
• Hand on Experience on Contours Creation.
• Operate and maintain GIS system hardware, software, plotter, digitizer, color printer and video camera.

Requirements

• Education: Minimum B.Sc. in Geospatial.
• Experience: 10 + Years of Relevant Experience
• Language: Arabic (Basic Language) , English (Second Language)
