Job description / Role
Our client in the Middle East requires a GSE Coordinator for a large project within the aviation field.
Background / Skills:
•Technical background in aviation ground support equipment / special aircraft maintenance tooling
•Read / interpret mechanical drawings of special tools, modifications of drawings, etc.
•Manage inventory of tools.
•Liaise with Airline technical personnel on drawing updates.
•Coordinate Tool Service Bulletins
•Liaise with Tool manufacturers for updates.
Requirements
Tools in question are more of the Special Tools required by an airline for maintenance, Locks, Hoists, Slings, Adapters, troubleshooting electric cables, test equipment, etc. NOT - tugs, lifts, conveyors, generators.
Background in Mechanical/Electrical maintenance and reading understanding drawings would be an advantage. No specific product line knowledge required, but would certainly be a plus. Note this work will mostly involve managing the tools, understanding service bulletins and modifications of tools, arranging for manufacturing with outside machine shops of special items.
Education:
•Engineering background (degree or at least 10 years in similar position / duty)
•Aviation mechanic a plus
