Hotel Overview:

Swissotel Al Ghurair & Swissotel Living Al Ghurair Hotel is a 620-room-and-suite upper upscale property. Catering for both business and leisure clientele. The hotel is located in Deira in the heart of Dubai and within easy reach of major tourist landmarks, leisure destinations and city services. It is linked to the Al Ghurair Shopping Centre, only 3 stops away on the Dubai Metro from the Dubai World Trade Centre and a 10 minute drive from Dubai International Airport.

Groups & Events Coordinator

The Groups and Events Coordinator is responsible for receiving group and event leads in the hotel, serving as an intermediary between the customer and the commercial and operational areas. It is the customer contact during the event at the hotel, working with the hotel and the organizer to achieve the set goals.

What you will be doing:
- In charge of room only bookings as well as MICE leads from initial contact, preparing the proposal, closely following up to ensure conversion, issue contract and banquet event order and remain the customer liaison until the end of the event
- Receive groups and events and keep up to date the hotel event systems with all information related to the lead
- Draw up contracts for groups and events
- Insert Rooming List in the system, update payment instructions and enter important information relevant to the group
- Negotiate budgets with customers
- Develop Banquet Event Orders in the system with all relevant information
- Conduct instructional groups with all relevant information to the group (number of able, category, price, form of payment, contact the company, special notes, etc.)
- Perform monthly report groups and update closing information groups
- Interact permanently with the Account Managers, Sales Coordinators, Reservations, Front Desk Department and kitchen
- Act directly with the guest or client during the stay of groups and events
- Participate in special activities such as booker events, family trips, etc.
- Ensure that all client requests are answered efficiently and with agility
- Team spirit working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members.

Requirements

Your experience and skills include:
- Previous experience in similar roles is a must sales groups and events, preferably in Hospitality
- Ability to analyze and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently
- Sense of organization and planning
- Good computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Proactive approach to meet deadlines and objectives

Visa requirements:

Please note that you must be eligible to live and work in Dubai. Swissotel Al Ghurair & Swissotel Living Al Ghurair will cover visa costs and flights for selected candidates from place of origin.
