Head Chef - Catering

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to join the team for a high end location in Dubai, UAE. The Chef will be responsible for creating and preparing high-quality meals, menu, as well as managing the kitchen and inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

- Create and prepare a variety of high-quality dishes, using a range of cooking techniques and utilizing fresh, local ingredients
- Plan and manage menus, taking into account dietary preferences and restrictions, as well as cultural and personal tastes
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and pantry, including managing inventory and ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained
- Collaborate with the staff to ensure that meal service runs smoothly and efficiently
- Manage the budget for the kitchen, including purchasing ingredients and equipment as needed
- Train and supervise any kitchen assistants or interns as needed

Requirements

- A culinary degree or equivalent professional cooking experience
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as Chef or in a high-end restaurant or hotel or for a VIP Household
- Strong knowledge of a range of cooking techniques and cuisines
- Ability to create and prepare a variety of dishes using fresh, local ingredients
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
